Well, Thanksgiving Day is officially over but we are still hanging on to what is left of the holiday weekend – including the sweet flowers that Mom sent from Montana. Dale mentioned today how when you’re a kid, Thanksgiving seems so far away from Christmas; but now that we’re older, Christmas seems like it is right around the corner – we better get shopping! Nevertheless, we enjoyed our Turkey Day here at home – enjoyed seeing West Virginia take it to Pittsburgh last night. Today, we caught some of the Texas vs. A&M game at Hooters. We couldn’t bear to do any shopping on Black Friday, but we still managed to make it out of the house and enjoy the great weather. Oh yeah, ran in the “Turkey Trot 5K” at work on Friday and finished in 26:00 … not too bad for having stood around 30 minutes in the cold weather before the 7AM race. Dale said he was there in spirit ;)
Wanted to make sure that I reported that No. 1
West mounted a comeback, took state AA title, defeating No. 2 Helena Capital 21-17 a week ago tonight. What a great victory – way to go Bears!
Now, tomorrow in football, Notre Dame takes on Stanford in the Irish’s last game of the season. After an ND victory, looks like the guys are headed to the Fiesta Bowl. We were hoping they would be in the Peach Bowl in Atlanta or the Orange Bowl in Miami (both a little closer to home) but everyone is predicting otherwise. What a year Weis has had – they’ll definitely be a contender for the national championship next year. Go Irish … beat Stanford!
That is all to report tonight … Renae out.
